Any time we are chosen by a client to be a part of their wedding day, it is always a complete and total honor. This year, we had the honor of being there for one of our own. Jessica is our Director of Sales and Lead Wedding Coordinator here at L&L Events. She is usually the one working closely with our couples to get the details and set up for their big day, working behind the scenes with the vendors and coordinating a seamless, stress free event. When she joined our team here at L&L Events a little over a year ago, her planning was already well underway. She had taken over the wedding planning reigns (which her fiance happily handed over – after all, this is what she does for a living) and came to us with her vision: Elegant Garden Wedding in Gold and Plum.
We were excited to provide some gorgeous decor elements that added elegance to the stunning natural garden backdrop.
Where do we even begin with this stunning couple? Courtney and Jamie were such a joy to work with. From the first planning meeting over coffee to the High Five Sendoff after the reception (which was totally awesome by the way), everything went like a dream. We had the honor to provide them with two of our services for their big day: catering and coordination. They chose the gorgeous Davis Island Garden Club for their Ceremony & Reception, with stunning water views and beautiful indoor and outdoor space for all of the fun they had planned. The guests started on the covered patio with some mini Cuban sandwiches, coconut shrimp and chicken kabob hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour before enjoying their dinner selection of Roasted Beef Medallions with Cabernet Mushroom Reduction or our Chicken Di Amore with fresh tomatoes, peppers, onions and prosciutto. During the cocktail hour, the bride and groom were whisked away by their amazing photographers of Andi Diamond Photography capture some of the most stunning portraits we have ever seen (seriously, these two could be models). Later, the groom and his friends serenaded the bride with the Sigma Chi Sweetheart Song and together, Jamie, Courtney and their alumni friends sang the UF fight song “We Are the Boys”. It was a picture perfect, beautiful day full of so much fun, and even more love.
WOW! Not much else comes to mind when we think about the incredible year 2015 was. We worked with some amazing clients and friendors to produce some fabulous events. Wondering what kept us busy? Here is a wrap up of what our team produced in 2015: 14 Weddings, 5 Quinceañeras, 3 Holiday Parties, 18 Banquets, 2 Bat/Bar Mitzvahs, 4 Concerts, 1 Dance Recital and 2 Comedy Shows. We also completed a mini renovation of our venue Foyer and Grand Ballroom (photos to come soon – I promise!). To top it off we just learned that we are a recipiant of the 2016 Couples Choice Awards from WeddingWire! What does that mean exactly?
ABOUT THE COUPLES’ CHOICE AWARDS
The WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards® 2016 recognizes the top 5% of local Wedding Professionals from the WeddingWire Network throughout the United States and abroad that demonstrate excellence in quality, service, responsiveness and professionalism. Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the organization, the WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards® are awarded solely based on the reviews from over 1.2 million newlyweds. Awards are determined by a combination of excellence in four factors: overall rating (quality), total number of reviews (quantity), review performance from 2015 (recency), and consistency of reviews from year to year (consistency).
Pretty awesome, isn’t it? We are so proud of our team and we are super excited for the amazing things in store for 2016. Thank you for being a part of our continued success!
We are incredibly excited to announce that our beautiful venue will be getting a well deserved renovation in just a few short weeks. We are working hard to give our clients a beautiful and elegant space for all of their events. Stay tuned for more information on the renovation and how YOU can come by and see the finished project firsthand!
We can’t believe it’s already been 2 months since Maria& Antonio’s wedding (Happy Anniversary you two!). When Maria emailed us a link to her wedding photo gallery and told us we can have any of the photos we wanted, we were OVER THE MOON excited! We had no idea how hard it was going to be to try and narrow down the ones we wanted to share with you all. There were so many incredible photos to look through and choose from. Their ceremony took place under the oak trees on our beautiful lawn, followed by a cocktail hour in the Grand Ballroom’s Foyer and reception in our Grand Ballroom. You can totally feel the love and emotion emitted through these images (just LOOK at Antonio’s reaction to seeing his gorgeous bride Maria during the first look! PRICELESS!). Thank you to Laura of L.Martin Wedding Photography for doing such an amazing job and for taking great care of our awesome clients.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for Maria & Antonio’s Special Day! Their outdoor ceremony was held under the oaks on our lawn here at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center. Following the ceremony, guests were invited into our lobby for cocktail hour prior to the reception. Our ballroom was dressed to the nines with elegant draping and lighting, and all white linens and decor filled the space. There was even a modern lounge area! The guests enjoyed some delicious food as well. Some of the items on the menu were Caprese Skewer (passed hors d’oeuvre), Chicken Marsala, Mashed Potato Martini Bar, Pasta Station (guests picked the ingredients and it was made fresh just for them!), and a Dessert Display instead of a traditional wedding cake. The dessert display featured Mini Flan, Cheesecake Bites and Guava Pastries….to name a few. The guests partied all night and the day was perfect from beginning to end. It was such a pleasure to work with this lovely couple and their family on their big day. Congratulations again Maria & Antonio!
A big THANK YOU to our friend Ron with Ron Pinero Photography for the beautiful images of the ceremony & reception set up!
We had the absolute pleasure of working with the team at Hunter’s Green Country Club and Nini Massey of Beyond Floral to create a beautiful stylized photo shoot. A big thanks the talented Jenifer Moore of Jenifer Moore Photography for capturing these images. Our draping, vintage furniture, candelabras and gold chargers paired perfectly with Nini’s floral design and overall vision as well as the setting at the beautiful Hunter’s Green.
We are very excited to share some of the beautiful photos of this triple theme inspiration shoot organized by the fabulous Victoria at Royal Events and Services and captured by the wonderfully talented Chauntel Desiree last month. It was such a pleasure working with them to create these beautiful images. We were more than excited to provide the draping and lighting for this shoot as well as the catering and venue. It was great fun to showcase the outdoor property at our venue – which is available for ceremonies and other events. The vibrant greenery made a beautiful setting for the rustic theme shoot. We hope you enjoy these photos!

One of our absolute favorite things ever, is the versatile and always beautiful Spandex Chair Cover. Not only does it bring a clean, crisp (read: wrinkle free!!) design feel to any event, this gem looks great with any type of sash., Don’t be fooled however, it also holds it’s own when it flies solo. Which is your favorite look: with or without a sash?
